The Government has confirmed a significant rise in the cost of official copies of Grants of Probate, Wills, and Letters of Administration.
From 17 November 2025, the fee will increase to £16 per copy, up from the current £1.50.
This change applies to all copy requests received by HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) on or after this date.
For example, an application requiring 10 copies will now cost £160 instead of £15.
