Cheryl Thomas

Solicitor

Cheryl completed her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2004 with the University of Glamorgan. She went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2007 completing the same with University of West England in 2011.

Beginning her legal career in various support roles, Cheryl gained hands-on experience across several areas of law before joining the firm in 2021 as a family law paralegal. Her dedication and commitment to client care saw her progress through the ranks, qualifying as a solicitor in 2024.

She is passionate about family law and takes pride in providing clients with clear , compassionate guidance through what are often challenging circumstances. She understands the emotional complexities that often accompany family matters and works closely with her clients to ensure they feel supported and well-informed throughout their case. Whether dealing with divorce, child arrangements, or financial settlements, Cheryl provides practical, tailored advice and is a calm, reassuring presence during what can be a very difficult time.

A naturally curious and thorough professional, Cheryl embraces continuous learning and is never afraid to dig into new or complex areas of law. Her methodical research skills and attention to detail make her a valuable asset to both her clients and her colleagues.

In addition to family law, Cheryl has significant experience in clinical negligence and personal injury matters. She has assisted clients with a wide range of claims, from pressure sore claims to road traffic accidents and dog bite injuries. Cheryl combines a meticulous eye for detail with strong negotiation skills, helping clients receive fair compensation in complex and often sensitive cases.

Outside of work, Cheryl is kept on her toes by her two children, regularly chauffeuring them to and from theatre rehearsals, dance clubs and football training. In her spare time, she indulges her love of history attending various historical monuments, and enjoys getting lost in a good book.
